Healing the Emotions and the Heart
Healing
the Inner Child
We
live in new and challenging times. The New Millennium is upon us, and
we have shifted into a new energy. New discoveries, about the human genome
and energy physics are redefining by the hour our limiting beliefs about
our capabilities, our societies, and our planet. New modalities of healing
are emerging everywhere, challenging our very notion of health and health
care. Already, integrative medicine, holistic/complementary modules are
being introduced to and accepted by many of the most revered institutions
of medicine.
However, not everyone is responding to this new influx with ease. There
has been much turbulence in our lives in the past couple years, so much
so that depression and chronic anxiety have become commonplace. This is
a transitory phase, a reaction to speedy global consciousness expansion.
As professionals and caretakers, whether at home or in the work place,
we are faced with the challenge to first heal and upgrade ourselves, before
we can become better equipped to minister, to nurture others. In order
to serve as effective individuals, we need body/mind/heart re-alignment
and a new balance.
The recent months have presented their share of challenges. It seems that
old negative patterns we have indulged for years now come up for review.
This is actually part of a collective psychic and spiritual "clearing"
we are undergoing for the New Millennium. Many of us are faced with our
own deficiencies as we run the gamut of intense emotions. Intense emotions
are actually a catalyst for change and transformation. We need the extra
momentum to shift gears to a higher level. As adults we struggle daily
as we encounter horrific stress and highly charged lessons. Some of these
lessons bring to the surface long-held judgments about ourselves, and
negative patterns of fear (False Expectations Appearing Real), insecurity,
doubt, and paranoia. The "shadow" which we have tried so hard
to repress over the years comes back to haunt us, in our personal and
communal life, with even more pronounced force. This backlash announces
itself in the form of financial difficulty, sickness, accidents, marital
breakdowns, domestic violence, substance abuse, etc. In fact, the more
we try to avoid the issues, the more aggressive the "shadow"
become! In the end, there is no place to run, and we have finally arrived
at the place of meeting ourselves.
If we take a closer look at our troubles, we find that many of our obsessions
and addictive behavior have their roots in childhood, in some instances
reaching back to infancy. During our childhood and formative years, we
all encountered "unpleasant" experiences that might have traumatized
us into believing we are inadequate, or unworthy of love and respect.
Those deeply rooted beliefs, if unresolved, can sabotage many aspects
of our life-our professions, finances, family and interpersonal relationships.
They may threaten the very underpinnings of our self-esteem and sense
of well being. The
purpose of this workshop is to help us connect with that injured and
forgotten part of ourselves-the Inner Child. Through the process of
play, guided meditation, breathing, body movement and visualization
techniques, we will repossess the innocence and power we have forfeited
as adults. This workshop provides a supportive environment for the long
desired changes in your heart. It allows you to experience the wonder
of letting go of limiting beliefs, and to emerge as the new person you
have secretly aspired to be. Fun-filled activity and discussion will
nurture our intuition and creativity as we make peace with our inner
child. Our hearts will blossom with new sensitivity and awareness, and
a deeper commitment and love towards ourselves.
Specifically, the workshop will explore the following themes:
• Cutting the Cords that Bind
• Letting go of Judgment and Self-Blame
• Surrendering to the Divine Plan
• Finding Your Own Voice and Speaking Your Truth
• Manifesting Your Soul Purpose
• Intimate Dialogue with Your Higher Self
• Rediscovering the Innocence and the Passion
• The "Prosperity Box": allowing joy, abundance and
love into your life
*Aside from running certain workshops from my Manhattan office (see
schedule), workshops can be held upon request. Or, you can ask for a
workshop of a related nature that is more suitable to your needs. You
can also bring a workshop to your area if you live out-of-state. I will
be happy to conduct workshop/ classes/lectures if there are 15 or more
participants, and if you make provisions for travel, board and lodging.
